Slobber & Wags is a guide to living with a dog in Canada: the gear that holds up in wet and cold weather, the practical side of ferries and travel, and what a dog really costs.

What we do

We write research-based guides. For each one we read the makers’ own product and sizing pages, Canadian retailer listings, owners’ reviews and official rules, then compare what they say. Every source is linked at the end of the section it supports, and prices are shown in Canadian dollars with the date we checked them.

What we don’t do

We don’t claim to have tested products ourselves unless we say so, and our gear guides state plainly that we haven’t. We don’t give veterinary or health advice. If your dog is unwell or you are worried about their health, talk to your veterinarian.

How the site is funded

The site shows ads served by Google AdSense. Ads never decide what we recommend. Read our editorial policy and affiliate disclosure for the rules we follow.
